Anti-anemia medications could increase the risk of drug injuries, a new study confirms.

The study shows that cancer patients who take anti-anemia medications increase the risk for drug injuries such as blood clots in the lungs or legs when compared with non-cancer patients who take anti-anemia drugs.

The study also makes the case that these medications, erythropoiesis-stimulating agents or ESAs, may have more risks than benefits.

Texas cancer patients who take anti-anemia medications may be at an increased risk for Texas drug injuries such as blood clots.
